One of our Wisconsin neighbors that live about one mile up the road from us has a home next to a spring, which supplies their water. Near the home a creek wanders by too. These thing combined create the perfect place to camp or live for the Indians in the past. The thing that verified it was the finding of a large arrowhead in excellent condition a few years back. If more hunting was done their would probably be a lot more found.

There are books here and elsewhere that will teache you how to make these neat collector's items. If you could make your own you could start your own business. Sell at your own at shop along the tourist routes or place them in other shops for a commission.

Research would need to be done to find out the correct type of rock and how to shape them but this book should include all that. Yours would be special because they would be handmade instead of machine made like so many other replica ones.

Many tourists don't mind how they are made as long as they have one and the replica ones are much cheaper then the genuine. Plus yours are hand made which will increase the value. This seems like a enjoyable home business.

However don't quite your day job until your make enough income to support you. Making these collector's items may be just part of what you do for a living. You should have different ways to supplement in case one way fails. Making Squidoo pages is another way to bring in income.

A Tale Tall

My wife and I had just moved to Oregon and were fortunate to get a 40-acre piece of land on the money from the sale of our home in Wisconsin. There wasn't much afterwards so we purchased a camper to live in while slowing building a cabin. The camper had all the comforts of home so there wasn't a big emergency to put up the cabin and I worked on it a little bit at a time.

There was plenty of time to explore our place and go hiking most every day. The property backed up to BLM so the hiking was unlimited. One day where exploring around the creek that passed through our place I felt some cool air coming down toward me. Looking around I didn't see anything but the rocky bank on one side. It must be coming from there so I climbed over the rocks and checked it out.

The cold air was coming from a narrow crack in the wall of the small cliff bordering the creek. I was excited because that meant there was a cave in there somewhere. At my feet I noticed a small opening and got down on my knees to investigate it. There was a hole about six inches across and about 8 inches high.

I dug it out some so that I could squeeze through the opening. I emerged into a small room that was roughly about six feet high and maybe ten feet wide and went back about 20 feet. Because of the crack in the wall of the rocks light streamed in and I could see really well. The floor of the cave was sandy.

This was quite a cool hiding place. Searching the cave room I noticed that there were some arrowheads scattered on the floor so this must have been a place the Indians discovered and used for living or just getting out of the elements Exploring farther I discovered some old lumps of material toward the back. Holding them up I could see that they were some type of leather clothing. To old to be much good but I was thrilled to be holding a piece of history.

I gathered up a few things to show my wife and squeezed out of the opening again. I planned to leave the opening as it was because this would make a great hiding place if we ever needed one. I planned to hide some emergency supplies in this cave in case I ever had to run to a hide out. It isn't everyday that someone finds something this cool.

Dear Indian Arrowhead Fans,

I am writing to you in behalf of your Heavenly Father. He is seeking you like a lost sheep. You remember the Bible story? It is about a shepherd who has 100 sheep. But when he brings the sheep home one night, one is missing. He then leaves the 99 sheep and goes out into the wilderness until he finds that lost sheep.

In this parable the shepherd goes out to search for the one lost sheep-the very least that can be numbered. So if there had been but one lost soul, Christ would have died for that one. To read more click Lost Sheep
