September 11, 2001 was the worse terrorist attack against civilians in the United States to date. (December 14, 2009) The attackers were 19 men belonging to al-Qaeda, an extremist Moslem group. The attack consisted of a series of coordinated suicide attacks involving 4 commercial passenger airliners.
United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11 were crashed into the World Trade Center in New Your City. Both towers collapsed in two hours-killing 2, 602 innocent people. This included 334 firefighters and 60 police and Port Authority officers.
A third plane American Flight 77 was crashed into the Pentagon. 125 were killed.
The fourth attack was United Airlines Flight 93. The hero passengers tried to take control of their plane and kept it from hitting its intended target. Unfortunately they couldn't completely take it from the terrorists and the plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. No one survived.
Our country remains on alert, not knowing when another attack may happen. The government is doing what it can, but we need to be prepared for it to happen again. People should have emergency supplies in case of disaster. We need to learn the lesson from the big hurricane Katrina, which showed the government sending troops to keep anyone from leaving the city. Afraid of people getting out to loot the surrounding countryside, national guard will keep the people from leaving any city experiencing disaster until help can arrive. Help may not arrive for many days or weeks depending on the disaster, so be prepared.

I am writing to you in behalf of your Heavenly Father. He is seeking you like a lost sheep. You remember the Bible story? It is about a shepherd who has 100 sheep. But when he brings the sheep home one night, one is missing. He then leaves the 99 sheep and goes out into the wilderness until he finds that lost sheep.
In this parable the shepherd goes out to search for the one lost sheep-the very least that can be numbered. So if there had been but one lost soul, Christ would have died for that one. To read more click Lost Sheep
